ABOUT CHLOÉ AND MAUD
Chloé and Maud are a sister dancing, choreographing, and producing duo. Both Internationally recognized tap dancers and graduates of Columbia University in Film, EMMY AWARD NOMINATED Chloé, and her sister Maud Arnold are creating opportunities to elevate and celebrate the Art of Tap Dancing through Film, TV, and live events. Their work has taken them worldwide, to over 30 countries. Chloé's choreography was recently featured in Jerry Seinfeld's Unfrosted on Netflix, Apple TV+ musical film Spirited starring Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer, as well as over 70 episodes of The Late Late Show with James Corden. Maud's choreography was featured in Hulu's hit Theater Camp starring Ben Platt, A24's Y2K, and the hit comedy Freaky Tales. Chloé, along with the support of Maud, founded Syncopated Ladies, a Female Tap Dance Band widely known for their viral videos. With Chloé and Maud paving the way and carving out Syncopated Ladies’ own place in the industry, they have garnished over 100 MILLION VIEWS online from their music videos to appearances on The Talk, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Ellen, Good Morning America, CNN's New Year's Eve, Mariah Carey's Merry Christmas to All, Bel Air, and So You Think You Can Dance. They have received praise from Beyoncé, Whoopi Goldberg on The View, Shonda Rhimes, Janet Jackson, as well as many other celebrities and news outlets around the world. Chloé and Maud are also the co-directors and producers of the critically acclaimed DC Tap Festival for the past 18 years and the Hollywood Tap Festival held at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. Recognized by the US House of Representatives as arts preservers and ambassadors, The Kennedy's Centers NEXT50 Leaders and in 2018 won the 33rd Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards for Excellence in Performing Arts. As a reminder, when you sign up for a more advanced level, you also gain total access to all classes in the level below, and all classes are on-demand for you to take at your own pace — so, we encourage you to try them out, push yourself, and level up!
Beginner - This level is for somebody new to tap dance, with 0-3 years experience. For a snippet of what Beginner dancers may learn at Chloé and Maud Studios, click here.
Intermediate - This class is for someone with 4-5 years of experience and has clear sounds, but wants to learn at a steady pace. We also encourage confident beginner dancers to try this level and take both Beginner and Intermediate classes. These are best suited for students with 8+ years of experience who can move quickly, pick up choreography fast, and are very comfortable improvising. NO! No prior tap experience is necessary for you to tap in with us at Tap Moves U. It’s never too late to start! Our classes are well suited for all levels and all ages.
At Tap Moves U, our classes are on-demand — so you get to move on your schedule, from anywhere in the world. New classes become available once a month, and with your subscription, you have access to the full library of classes in your chosen level (and the levels below, if applicable). All you have to do is open the Tap Moves U portal on your computer, phone, or tablet, press play, and tap in!

While tap shoes and a wood floor/portable tap floor would be great to use if you have them, they are not necessary to take class at Tap Moves U. You can join our classes in whatever space you have, with whatever shoes you have.
